Jonathan & Kacie Got Hitched!

God, you are so good to us. You have provided great friends in Jonathan and Kacie. We are excited with them, and promise to rejoice with them and cry with them when the time comes. Now is a time to rejoice. God, you truly are so good to us.

Psalm 128 is called the marriage prayer as it was often sung at Jewish weddings. Here it is. We pray it over Jonathan and Kacie.

Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in his ways.
You will eat the fruit of your labor;
blessings and prosperity will be yours.
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
within your house;
Your sons will be like olive shoots
around your table.
Thus is the man blessed
who fears the Lord.
May the Lord bless you from Zion
all the days of your life;
may you see the prosperity of
Jerusalem,
and may you live to see your
children's children.
Peace be upon Israel.

Sunday Night, October 28

Hey everyone. Jess and I will be out of town this Sunday night. For those who haven't heard yet, our family is going to be in Missouri this weekend for my brother's ordination service. We will be heading back home after the service, which takes place at 2 pm. Please pray for safe travel. Jonathan is going to be leading Sunday night. I expect you to give him the same amount of money, courtesy and respect that you give me on Sunday nights.

You guys will be at Kary's house again this week. This time let's go from 6-8 pm since the Cowboys are not playing.

Have a great weekend with your family and your friends. We will miss you all this weekend.

This week @ HT

Hey everyone!

This Sunday night our Home Team will be meeting at our house from 6:30-8ish. We are meeting at our house because we wanted to give Taylor and Rachel a break due to the grueling week they have had this week at the hospital. We are meeting at 6:30 because of the biggest game of the year (being New England Patriots at Dallas Cowboys). The game is scheduled to be played from 3:15-6:30 pm. Don't worry peeps, we will wait until the conclusion of the game to do anything spiritual. We may just need to take the first hour or so and repent for all the harsh words and hatred that could have possibly spewed out during the game. Just kidding, I hope...
For all you Cowboys fans- enjoy the game and I hope to see you shortly thereafter.
Go Cowboys!

-Kyle & Jess

* Get well soon Rachel. You guys are so special to us and we love you.

The Lord's Supper in our Home Teams

This Sunday we will be participating in the Lord's Supper together in our Home Teams. By nature of the Lord's Supper, this is going to be one of the most meaningful times that we will ever experience as a Home Team. Let's try something different this Sunday night for our Home Team snackage. This is what I have in mind:

WHOLE FRUIT: bananas, apples, grapes, oranges, and any other whole fruit that you enjoy
CHEESE CUBES: cheddar/ meunster/ colby jack/ or any other cheese that is fairly mild
LOAVES OF BREAD: (2) french bread and (2) sourdough bread
GRAPE JUICE

Let us know what you are going to bring with you. It is going to be awesome.

NOTE: If you are looking for dinner or if you are really hungry, then "eat before you come" to borrow the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 11.

This is going to be a time of reflection, repentance, Biblical fellowship, and celebration. It is going to be a time where we embrace one another AND embrace one another's story of being rescued.

By the way, thanks for all of your prayers. It's times like this that help us really feel not just like a home team, but a family.
We're so thankful we have a home team. You are friends. You are family. We love you.
